MATERIALS:
★ Yarn for sizes preemie, newborn, 0-3 & 3-6 months: You can use any weight 3 / DK / 8 ply yarn. I used Paintbox Yarns Baby DK, 183 yds / 1.8 oz (167m / 50g). ALTERNATIVE YARN SUGGESTIONS: Premier Basix DK Yarn, Cascade 220 Superwash Yarn, Paintbox Yarns Simply DK, Stylecraft Special DK.
★ Yarn for sizes 6-12 months & 1-2 years: You can use any weight 4 / worsted / aran / 10 ply yarn. I used Stylecraft Special Aran, 214 yds / 3.5 oz (196m / 100g). ALTERNATIVE YARN SUGGESTIONS: Premier Yarns Just Yarn Worsted Value, Bernat Supervalue.
★ CROCHET HOOKS:
Preemie - Both an E (3.5mm) & G (4mm) hook
Newborn / 0-3 months / 3-6 months - Both a G (4mm) & Size 7 (4.5mm) hook
6-12 months / 1-2 years - Both an H (5mm) & I (5.5mm) hooks
★ BUTTONS:
Preemie / Newborn / 0-3 months / 3-6 months - 5 x 15mm buttons
