MATERIALS:

Yarn for sizes newborn, 0-3 & 3-6 months: You can use any weight 3 / DK / 8 ply yarn (provided you meet the gauge as stated in the pattern).
★ Yarn for sizes 6-12 months & 1-2 years: You can use any weight 4 / worsted / aran / 10 ply yarn (provided you meet the gauge as stated in the pattern).
★ Yarn for sizes 2-3 years, 3-4 years and 4-5 years: You can use any weight 5 / bulky / chunky / 12 ply yarn (provided you meet the gauge as stated in the pattern).
★ CROCHET HOOKS:
Newborn / 0-3 months / 3-6 months - G (4mm) hook (OPTIONAL: E / 3.5mm hook for ribbed brim)
6-12 months / 1-2 years - H (5mm) (OPTIONAL: 4.5mm hook for ribbed brim)

2-3 years / 3-4 years / 4-5 years – J (6mm) (OPTIONAL: I / 5.5mm hook for ribbed brim)
